и в футболке Москва для Москвичей от kazan Алекс родился в старинном русском городе Смоленске в семье военных медиков. Объездил с родителями пол России, провел несколько незабываемых лет в Германии. В 1989-ом поселился в Москве. И, как обычно бывает в семьях врачей, решил продолжить дело. Но проучившись два года в Московской Медицинской Академии, понял, что это не его и, не раздумывая, бросил.
В 1993-ем увлекся авангардной модой. Кроить и шить выучился сам - по книгам. А рисовать любил всегда. Одновременно с fashion-дизайном Алексей занимался арт объектами, несколько его выставок прошли в Москве в ЦДХ, одна, самая интересная, в Екатеринбурге. В 1996 году журнал ПТЮЧ признал Алексея Мешкова лучшим авангардным модельером, вручив премию «Золотой Птюч». Испытание славой Алексей прошел довольно странно – шить одежду ему быстро надоело. Еще задолго до своего решения будущий диджей интересовался музыкой и самостоятельно готовил миксы для своих показов. Впервые за вертушки встал на вечеринке в клубе «Акватория» - 28 декабря 1996 года. Позже под ником DJ Тюк начал появляться и в других ночных заведениях. Был резидентом легендарного радио «Субстанция»: запомнился индустриально-мрачной атмосферой ночных эфиров - Psychic TV и Trobbing Gristle, dark ambient и trip-hop, субботними «утренниками» - techno и electro. После закрытия «Субстанции» играл на радио «Станция 2000» и «Динамит». Сегодня имя DJ Мешкова ассоциируется с целой эпохой танцевального движения и внушительным списком клубов, среди которых Луч, А-Клуб, Остров Сокровищ, Гиппопотам, Чудо-Бар, Парк, Вирус, Третий Путь, Джусто, Герцен, КакБы, Граммофон, Будда-Бар, Пропаганда, Метро, Территория, Город, Mix, а также фестивали Казантип, Инстанция, Форты и Creamfields.С 1999 года занимается собственным музыкальным проектом Nooncat. Его умные, четко выверенный треки выпускались на немецких лейблах: Salo, Trapez, Konvex- Konkav. Сейчас сотрудничает с Treibstoff и Trenton Rec. В Кельне и Франкфурте один за другим выходят его лучшие EP’s: Snowdust, Pop Korn, Under The Moon, Under The Sun, Down The Room, Blue Screen. Тиражи Down The Room и Blue Screen были раскуплены в неделю. В 2004-ом клуб «16 тонн» наградил Nooncat знаменитой «золотой горгульей» как лучший танцевальный проект года.
Live sets: Cologne, Leipzig, Berlin, Skopje; dj sets в Англии, Македонии, Германии, Австрии, Польше и по всей России. В настоящее время является резидентом Deepmix Moscow Radio (www.deepmix.ru), постоянно играет в клубах Шанти и Город. Диапазон его диджейской стилистики достаточно широк, но оригинален: от минимала до текхауса и техно с обязательной романтической примесью звучания поп-музыки восмидесятых и легкого транса.

Alex was born in the old Russian town of Smolensk in the family of military paramedics. With his parents getting assignments all around Russia and abroad, Alex travelled a lot with them, including several years in East Germany. In the year 1989 he moved over to reside in Moscow.
In 1993 he found himself interested in avant-garde fashion. In the year 1996 the 'PTUCH' magazine awarded Alex as the best avant-garde designer - he received their 'Golden Ptuch' prize. Alex coped with his fame in a rather strange way - quite soon he became bored with fashion design.
Long before taking his final decision to become a DJ, Alex was making his own mixes for his fashion shows. His first dj-set on the turntables was played on the 28th of December 1996 in 'Aquatoria' club. Later Alex could be spotted appearing under the name of DJ Tuke in various Moscow night clubs. In a while he became the resident-DJ of the legendary 'Substation' underground radio station, being remembered from that time for industrially-dark atmosphere of his night airs - Psychic TV & Throbbing Gristle, dark ambient & trip-hop, Saturday morning techno & electro shows. After the 'Substation' was closed, Alex worked as a DJ at the 'Station 2000' and 'Dynamite' radio stations. Today the name of DJ Alex Meshkov is associated with an epoch of the Russian techno scene as well as with a significant list of night-clubs.
From the year 1999 Alex creates music under the name of 'Nooncat', his personal musical project. Nooncat's smart and neatly true tracks have been released on the European labels: Salo, Konvex-Konkav, Trapez, Treibstoff, MIS, Trenton, Lichen; and on the russian labels: Between Us, Phlegmatek. In 2004 the Moscow '16 Tonns' club awarded Nooncat with a famous 'Golden Gargoyle' as the best dance project of the year.
6 years he was the resident of the most popular among Moscow's bohemia 'MIX' club, that was closed forever 7/07/2007. At the present time Alex is the resident of the Deepmix Moscow Radio(www.deepmix.ru); he often appears in “Solyanka”, “Shanti”, “Gorod” and “MIO” night clubs. The geography of his performances is wide: England, Germany, Austria, Macedonia, Serbia, Poland, Romania and all across Russia. His DJ-ing style is rather wide and variable, however always original: from minimal to techno and his alter ego - melodic pop/tech with romantic vibes of neo-trance moods.
